Death of a good periodical?

Recently, while wandering the vast expanses of the web, I came across the blog of a local creative type fellow by the name of Dave Gray. He was talking about the impending demise of the magazine Business 2.0.

Unfortunately, that is one of the few periodicals that I get, read, and enjoy the majority of its content.

There seems to be a pseudo-resuscitation movement on the web via facebook to get a pardon from the governor of TIME publishing.

Well, it figures, I find something that I like, and it goes away. Much like any good TV shows, and such they go away when I become fond of them.

I certainly hope that the magazine remains. It has, in my opinion, a great deal of useful insight.

We will see.

Getting Back on the Horse...So to speak.

It's been a loooong time since I have been on this...as you can clearly see. So long that a comment to a previous posting has gone unnoticed for quite sometime now.

The only reason that I mention that is because a person, a main character actually, in that posting reponded shortly after the entry was made.

1. I appologize to Mr. Westhoff of the Riverfront Times for calling him "Russ". His name is Ben. I have no idea how I came up with that. It isn't even close.

2. Ben's response was quite classy. He explainied himself in a
pithy manner, and was quite nice about it. I think this has
quite a bit to do with how the post was written in that it was
not a personal attack on Ben, just an observation of events.

I like Ben's writing I have read his work in subsequesnt issues of the RFT and will continue to do so. Pehaps we will cross paths again sometime.
